Saint-Jouin Plage gets its Blue Flag for the 3rd consecutive year – Paris Normandy

For the third consecutive year, the municipality of Saint-Jouin-Bruneval has been awarded the Blue Flag 2019 label for its beach. This label, awarded by French and international juries, takes into account criteria related to environmental education, water management, waste management and the environment. This Blue Flag, a symbol of exemplary environmental quality, rewards the municipality’s sustainable tourism development policy. It is proof that the bathing water at Saint-Jouin Plage is classified as “Excellent” (ARS classification) and that everyone can swim in it in complete safety.

Located 5 km from Etretat, Saint-Jouin Plage is part of an exceptional tourist complex. The commune of Saint-Jouin-Bruneval, by developing its beach, making it dynamic, pleasant and widely open to leisure activities, has focused on enhancing the tourist value of its coastline. This beach, which can accommodate up to 3,000 people a day during the summer period, is a real treasure nestled at the foot of the cliffs of the Albâtre coast.

Visitors will find everything they need to spend a pleasant moment of relaxation here: seafront restaurants, strolling areas, a leisure centre, children’s games… not forgetting a magnificent view of the cliffs. In order to ensure even greater safety on the beach and for boat launches, construction work on the slipway in the service port of Antifer will start in September, after the tourist season, and will be completed in winter.
